Travel Companions

Travel Companions

Traveling abroad for treatment can feel isolating. Connect privately with verified Chozyer patients heading to the same destination on compatible dates — and decide for yourselves how much, or how little, to coordinate.

  • Verified adult patients
  • Privacy-first matching
  • Mutual connection required
  • Optional shared services

How It Works

Compatible plans first, connection second.

Matching is based on where and when you're traveling — never on appearance, ethnicity, religion, popularity, or anything you've paid for.

  1. Step 1

    Compatible destination and dates

You set your destination city and travel window. Chozyer only matches patients whose plans genuinely overlap with yours.

  2. Step 2

    Mutual connection first

Nobody can message you until you both accept. A request carries a short introduction and nothing else.

  3. Step 3

    Coordination stays optional

After you both accept the connection, you can choose whether to coordinate parts of the trip, such as an eligible transfer or nearby accommodation. Matching never creates a booking automatically.

What a match will show

  • Age range and destination
  • How many travel days overlap
  • Languages you share
  • Companion and accommodation preferences

We never invent members or compatibility scores. Exact date of birth and Medical Passport information are never shown to other patients.

Your Privacy

What other patients will and won't see.

Your profile starts on the most privacy-protective settings, and you can change or withdraw them at any time.

Visible to eligible matches

Display name, age range, country, languages, destination, approximate dates, general treatment category, companion goals and verification badges.

Visible only after mutual acceptance

Full first name, profile photo, exact dates, accommodation, hospital, doctor, flight and contact information.

Never shared automatically

Legal name, passport, identity documents, home address, Medical Passport, reports, payment information, live location and room number.

Travel Companions is separate from your Medical Passport. Adult eligibility uses the date of birth on your companion profile only. Medical history, reports, medications and clinical photos are never shared with another patient.

Safety

Built around mutual consent.

Nobody can contact you until you accept, and you can block or report from anywhere in the feature.

Safety guidance

  • Keep communication inside Chozyer
  • Meet first in a public place
  • Tell someone you trust about your plans
  • Do not share passport or payment details
  • Do not send money directly
  • Confirm hotel rules before coordinating accommodation
  • Respect boundaries
  • Never rely on another patient for medical care
  • Contact local emergency services when necessary
  • Report suspicious behavior immediately
A travel companion is another patient, not a medical caregiver. Some procedures require a responsible adult escort or professional nursing support. Your provider's discharge requirements must be followed separately.

Payment safety

Do not transfer money directly to another patient. Eligible shared services are confirmed and paid separately through Chozyer or the authorized service provider.

Verification helps reduce risk but cannot guarantee another person's behavior. In an emergency, contact local emergency services — never rely on another patient for medical care.
